📷 Photography Tip — Class of 2027: senior photos are best done early
If you’ve got a senior this year, here’s a secret: summer is the sweet spot for senior photos.
Once school starts, life gets crazy — classes, sports, jobs, college applications. Finding a free evening in October is a lot harder than finding one in July.
Summer also means everything is still green and golden hour runs late, so we’re not rushing against a 5 PM sunset.
Early photos also mean no deadline stress. Yearbook submissions and graduation announcements sneak up fast, and having photos done early takes that whole worry off the table.
My favorite part of senior sessions: building them around the senior’s personality. Letter jacket, instrument, car, team gear, favorite coffee shop — the details that tell their story now, before everything changes.
And bring two or three outfit options. A casual look, a dressed-up look, and something that’s completely them.
