Senior & Graduation Photography in Kansas City

You Worked For This Moment

Whether you’re capping off high school or walking across the stage with a degree you earned the hard way, this is the milestone photo you’ll actually want to display.

This is a photo you earn — years of work, late nights, last basketball games, a final walk through the halls or across a stage with a degree finally in hand. It deserves more than a quick snapshot after the ceremony. I build sessions around who you are right now: the school colors, the cap tassel, the cords and stoles from the program you fought through, the friends you want in frame — all of it, done right.

Why Choose Vickshots For Your Senior or Grad Photos

High School or Higher Ed, Same Care

Whether it’s cap and gown for your college walk or a creative outdoor senior session before your last first day, we treat both like the milestone they are.

Made to Be Displayed

These aren’t just for the yearbook or the family group chat. We shoot portraits your family will frame, print, and pass around for years. Plenty of families book a family session at the same time while everyone is together and dressed up.

Your Personality, Not a Template

Bring your letterman jacket, your cords, your car, your dog — we build the session around what makes your story yours, not a cookie-cutter pose list.

Questions Seniors & Grads Ask

How much do senior pictures cost in Kansas City?

Senior and graduation sessions are $250 for 30 minutes or $500 for a full hour. Both include professionally edited photos, web-ready downloads and an online gallery; the hour-long session adds a second outfit. Full pricing is listed above.

When should I schedule my senior or graduation photos?

For high school seniors, spring or summer before the school year starts gives the best light and the most flexible schedule. For graduation, most grads shoot right around commencement while the cap, gown, and cords are still on hand — before or shortly after the ceremony both work.

How many outfit changes can I do during the session?

Most sessions comfortably fit 2–3 looks — cap and gown plus a couple of personal outfits, or a few different senior-portrait styles. We’ll plan it around your session length. Our guide to coordinating outfits works just as well for a senior session.

Can I bring props, my letterman jacket, or my car?

Absolutely. Instruments, sports gear, a car, a pet — anything that’s part of your story is welcome and usually makes for the best photos.

Should I get hair and makeup done first?

It’s optional, but it can help photos feel a little more polished and camera-ready. Plenty of clients shoot without it and love their results just as much.

Can family or friends be included in some of the photos?

Yes — it’s common to save a few minutes at the end of a senior or grad session for shots with parents, siblings, or close friends who were part of the journey.

Let’s build a session around your story — cap and gown, creative senior portraits, or both.
