Licensing and insurance: every flight is made under an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, which is the license required to fly commercially in the United States. For commercial sites that require a certificate of insurance, liability coverage is arranged for the job and the certificate provided before the flight — just tell me what your site requires.

Thermal imaging: available on request and quoted per project. Thermal is what turns a standard roof inspection into a moisture survey — it shows where water has worked its way under the surface, which an ordinary camera cannot see.

Advance booking: the pricing above is for work booked ahead of time. If you need a flight squeezed in between existing bookings, pricing is subject to change — just ask and I will quote it for you.

Travel: the first 50 miles are included. 50–100 miles adds $25, 100–150 miles adds $50. Further out than that, get in touch for a quote — we travel well beyond the metro and regularly shoot outside Kansas City.

Questions Property Owners Ask

How much does drone photography cost in Kansas City?

An aerial photo session of a single property is $250 for 15–20 edited images, or $400 with a 60–90 second edited video added. Documentation work is priced separately: $375 for a residential roof, from $600 for a commercial roof survey, and from $750 for site and land documentation. Full pricing is listed above.

How much does a drone roof inspection cost?

A single residential roof is $375. That covers every slope, edge and gutter run, delivered as a dated and organized set you can hand straight to an insurance adjuster. Commercial and multi-building roofs start at $600 and are quoted per building on size and access.

Why document a roof before a storm rather than after?

Because dated photos of a roof in good condition are the hardest evidence there is that damage is new. The most common reason a hail claim gets reduced is an insurer arguing the damage was already there. If you have a clear record from before the storm, that argument does not get off the ground.

Are you licensed and insured to fly commercially?

I hold an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, which is the license required to fly a drone commercially in the United States. For commercial sites that require a certificate of insurance before anyone flies, liability coverage is arranged for that job and the certificate provided ahead of the flight. Let me know what your site requires when you get in touch.

Do you offer thermal imaging?

Thermal is available on request and quoted per project. It is what turns a standard roof inspection into a moisture survey, showing where water has worked its way under the surface where an ordinary camera sees nothing. Tell me what you need and I will quote it.

How far will you travel for aerial work?

Well beyond the metro. The first 50 miles are included, 50–100 miles adds $25 and 100–150 adds $50. I regularly shoot outside Kansas City, so if you are further out than that, get in touch and I will quote the travel with the job.
